Nawras wins Operational Expansion Award of the year 2011. Only Omani company to win at CommsMEA 2011 in Dubai

Great jubilation greeted the exciting announcement of Nawras being awarded the “Operational Expansion
Award” at the CommsMEA Awards in Dubai.

Led by Hussain Al-Lawati, Nawras Acting Chief Sales & Distribution Officer, people from customer service, sales, IT and marketing, attended the glittering event and enthusiastically greeted the winning announcement. Al-Lawati was thrilled to accept the trophy on behalf of everyone in the Nawras family and delighted to bring the trophy back to the Sultanate of Oman.

Nawras received this award for its successful transformation from a mobile operator into a full-service provider, which started with the launch of fixed services for corporate customers in May 2010 and continued with the introduction of Home Broadband and Voice services for residential customers in June 2010.

Nawras wins Corporate Finance Award at ACT Middle East Deals of the Year Awards

Nawras, is also celebrating winning the Corporate Finance Award 2011 for its Initial Public Offering (IPO) at the ACT Middle East Deals of the Year Awards. During the recent award ceremony in Dubai, recognition was given for the work of outstanding corporate treasurers and their teams who are dedicated to ensuring that their company maximises its chances of success.

Nawras Treasury Controller, Ali Abdul Sahib Al-Moosa, attended the event and collected the award in recognition of the successful execution and result of the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO). Nawras IPO was the largest in the Sultanate of Oman since 2005 and the largest to take place in the GCC since 2009.
